Within the programme for international courses and training programmes, CIUF grants 150 scholarships for participation into the courses and 70 for participation into the training programmes. Only applicants originating in developing countries mention below, qualify for selection. To be eligible, candidates must reside and work in their country at the time of the introduction of the file.

VLIR- UOS Masters Scholarships in Belgium for Developing Countries 2012

180 Masters & 70 training Scholarships for students from Developing countries by VLIR-UOS, Belgium 2012 - 50% of scholarships will be offered to African students and almost 50% for Women.

VLIR-UOS awards scholarships to students from developing countries to study for a master or training programme in Flanders, Belgium. For 2012 academic year, VLIR-UOS will award 180 scholarships to first-year master students and 70 scholarships to training participants. VLIR-UOS funds and facilitates academic cooperation and exchange between higher education institutions in Flanders (Belgium) and those in developing countries, which aims at building capacity, knowledge and experience for a sustainable development.

Belgium Scholarship for International Students 2011/ 2012

The VLIR-UOS scholarship award are made available to students from developing countries to study a master or training programme in Flanders, Belgium. Every year, VLIR-UOS awards up to 180 scholarships to master students and 70 scholarships to training participants. These are full scholarships which cover all related expenses.
All programs are specifically designed for people with responsibility in universities, schools, NGOs, local communities, governments positions and other civil society.

PhD Scholarships for Candidates from Developing Countries

The Special Research Fund of Ghent University allocates yearly a
certain budget for students from developing countries in order to
obtain a PhD at Ghent University. The candidate has to be a national of a country on the
VLIR-UDC country list and have permanent residence in a developing
country in Africa, Asia and South America.
