Chevron Nigeria Limited, in collaboration with its Joint Venture partner, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), is offering a number of University Scholarship Awards to suitably qualified undergraduate Nigerian students. 2012/2013 PTDF Overseas and National Scholarship for Undergraduate, Masters and Phd Nigerian Students to Study in Nigerian, UK and France Universities

The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), a parastatal of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the Masters (MSc) and PhD as well as Undergraduate Scholarships, under the 2012/2013 PTDF Scholarship Scheme. The PTDF Scholarship will be awarded for studies in areas listed below, in the United Kingdom, France and upgraded Universities in Nigeria for the 2012/2013 session. However, the Undergraduate level will be awarded for studies in Nigeria only.

NettPAD Education BrainTrust Scholarship Opens Application for Nigerian Students in tertiary institutions - Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education - for 2011/2012

The NettPAD Education Scholarship Award Scheme aim to assist Undergraduate Nigerian Students in tertiary institutions (Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education) to pursue their studies to a successful end without much stress or suffering, motivate and reward excellence. The NE BrainTrust Scholarship Program is a non-governmental, non-profit and merit-based higher education scholarship scheme that is funded entirely by Donations from the NettPAD Education Campaigns "Raising the Future Scholars Today" and is administered by the NettPAD Education Scholarship Board. The scholarship is open for any field of study.

I was recently notified of a scholarship program in Nigeria that is currently sending SMS to applicants for it's coming scholarship test. I did notice the scholarship program does not have a website. But considering that there are a lot of local companies without a website, and how often some local scholarships are only announced online after the winners have been selected, I decided not to judge their legitimacy based on unavailable online presence. It was for that reason I shared the scholarship information here on AfterSchoolAfrica after it was submitted by a regular reader, who claimed the scholarship program was advertised in his school.

Did you apply for Jet Petrochemical scholarship for undergraduate students?
So far, I've been contacted by one student who received an SMS invitation from the above mentioned scholarship provider. I've also noticed incoming searches from search engines on information about the above company online. I'm not trying to draw a line on the legitimacy of the above company, however for a company that wouldn't disclose it's contact details (office or email address) at the stage of short listing candidates, suspicions are bound to arise.
On that note, until the above mentioned scholarship provider discloses it full, verifiable contact address, please do not send any more personal details. If you are asked to make any form of payment, do not oblige. Legitimate scholarship providers do not request money before awarding scholarships. AfterSchoolAfrica does not have any form of affiliation with the scholarship programmes mentioned on this site.

Indomie Nigeria Scholarship for 12 Postgraduate Students 2011

The Indomie National Postgraduate Nutrition Scholarship Awards for Nigerian Students to study Nutrition and Dietetics at master’s level was initiated in 2009. The first round of scholarship was awarded to 12 Nigerian students to study for Masters Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. So far 24 Nigerian students have benefited from this scholarship since its inception in 2009. Application for the 2011 indomie National Postgraduate Nutrition Scholarship, third edition, is currently open, from now through 31 August 2011. 12 successful candidates will be awarded scholarship to study in Nigeria for their masters program for 2011/2012 academic year.

NIIT Nigeria chapter recently announced the 12th edition of its scholarship for Nigerian Students to apply for IT training program. The scholarship application is scheduled to close on 15th JULY, 2011. NWAG Scholarship for Nigerian Women 2011- Undergraduate

The Nigerian Women Association of Georgia -NWAG- offers undergraduate Scholarship for Nigerian female students in Nigerian universities on any course of study.

NWAG announced 37 one-time scholarships, to be awarded one student per state of origin including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Each selected undergraduate female student will receive the amount of fifty thousand Naira (N50,000), to study in Nigerian universities.
