Trudeau Foundation Doctoral Scholarships in Canada for Developing Countries 2012

The 2012 Trudeau Foundation Doctoral Scholarships are offered annually to the most talented doctoral students in the humanities and social sciences to encourage emerging talents in Canada and Developing Countries.
Up to 15 Trudeau Scholarships are awarded each year to support doctoral candidates pursuing research of compelling present-day concern, touching upon one or more of the four themes of the Foundation. Trudeau Scholars are highly gifted individuals who are actively engaged in their fields and expected to become leading national and international figures. Since the beginning of the program in 2003, the Foundation has awarded 129 Trudeau Doctoral Scholarships.

KUT Japan Doctoral Scholarship Program for International Engineering students 2012

Kochi University of Technology, Japan Special Scholarship Program (SSP) in Engineering for Doctoral applicants from around the world

The Special Scholarship Program (SSP) was established in 2003 in order to support the advanced research of Kochi University of Technology by enlisting the help of highly capable students especially students from foreign countries. Every year in April and October, the university enrolls selected doctoral students for specific research projects. The students pursue the doctoral course in English (excluding Japanese students) while at the same time assisting their host professor as a research assistant (RA). Through this scholarship program KUT wishes to expand and deepen international ties with academic and educational institutions all over the world.

Each year, the Humboldt Foundation grants up to 60 Georg Forster Research Fellowships for postdoctoral researchers and experienced researchers. Short-term study visits, participation in congresses and training courses cannot be financed. As a researcher, Georg Forster Research Fellowship for postdoctoral researchers allows you to carry out a long-term research project (6−24 months) of your choice in cooperation with an academic host of your choice at a research institution in Germany.
